Jungle Safari
ImageIn its creation Nepal was gifted with three amazing terrains spanning the spectrum from tropical sea level jungle plains to lush hilly regions to the highest snowcapped peaks in the world- housing the largest species of birds, 800, in the world. The climate creates the perfect conditions for an array of wildlife that make Nepal their home.

Chitwan and Bardiya National Parks are located in southern plains, the terrai, and are recognized as 2 of Asia’s premier wildlife reserves. The terrai is home to the Tharu people, and the camps in these reserves are careful to honor and share their unique style and culture. While Chitwan is more centrally located, Bardiya in the Far West offers a greater chance of spotting the Royal Bengal Tiger. Chitwan is known for its amazing clans of one-horned rhino, though both parks are home to a host of game including leopards, antelope, sloth bear, spotted dear, langur, rhesus monkey, wild boar, hyena, wild cattle to name but a few. Rivers flow through both National Parks where you’ll find the Gangetic River Dolphin and 2 species of crocodile. Drift down the tree laced rivers in locally made dug-out canoes and experience the most amazing bird-watching in the world.

We love combining any of our expeditions with a jungle safari!
